TKCO Delivers Emergency Aid to Flood Victims in Logar

TKCO works closely with international aid organizations to coordinate and implement emergency response activities in some provinces following the earthquake and flash floods that hit the country this year.

Khoshi district of Logar was of the areas that were hit hard by the flooding and heavy rains.

People and children have lost their lives, houses partially and fully have been destroyed, livestock has perished, and crops have been adversely impacted.

TKCO launched its emergency response through humanitarian assistance funded by an international partner.

One hundred fifty flood-affected families received essential kits that included oil, rice, sugar, tea, salt, hand soap, washing powder, and a teapot.
Children received toys and clothes.

According to the UN, every year more than 400,000 Afghans are
affected by floods, droughts, earthquakes, avalanches, and other
natural disasters.
