Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, introspection, generosity, and giving for Muslims. Those who partake in Ramadan abstain from food, drink, and impure thoughts between the hours of sunrise (Fajr) and sunset, allowing them instead to pray and reflect. The act of fasting allows the individual to understand the pain and suffering of those who go hungry every day.

Each Ramadan, we set up a kitchen (Iftar tent) in one of the most impoverished neighborhoods to serve meals to those in need. Hundreds benefit from the program.
